Isaiah 55 - A Promise for My Family

Come - Out of your barrenness and into full life. Out of your poverty and into supply. For the thirsty there is water that never will run dry. For the poor there is a treasure room without a lock or price. All your fruitless searches and all your efforts failed will find full satisfaction when you rest behind the Veil. Why do you run and fritter on what cannot satisfy? Listen now and eat what's good - My words will feed your life. Yes, listen and believe Me. Oh, hear My words and live! Feast on every promise for abundance they will give! A season is now coming-a grace upon your ear. An inclining to My Spirit, a grace for you to hear. Grace for you to hear Me. Inclining now begins. My Spirit is now calling and you shall hear, My friend. A new day is now dawning; there's a'blowing in the wind. My Spirit breeze will move you to where you've never been. My promise is unfolding, though now hidden from your eyes. Trust me and believe that I will ...

The Way of Freedom

Recently in prayer, the Lord began to show me something that, as usual, seems so simple and yet is so deep. It's often very hard to put into words what God is showing you...because as soon as it leaves your mouth, you think, 'that sounds way too simple!' Yet, this Kingdom way is the way of child like faith and simple trust. It really isn't nearly as complicated as we've packaged it to be. What God showed me the other day is the picture of me in a wide open field. I've seen this picture before, but this time when I was praying my heart was heavy. I'd had a hard day and had been with someone who spoke negatively for an excessive amount of time. A lot of the conversation was directed towards the obvious problems and negative situations that effect the organized church. Personally, I do my best not to focus on the problems in the church...I try my best not to focus on what's NOT happening and to focus on what IS happening...even if I have to look for it so...

One New Man

Here is a journal entry from my prayer time a few days ago. It is a glorious picture out of Ephesians 2:11-22; 4:1-16. It was an interesting word and one I pray that blessed those who read it. Enjoy! May 18, 2011 Good morning, Holy one! I love you. Thank you so much for the song you keep implanting in me while I dream. I am longing for the new Jerusalem. I know you are building THIS house and the one that is to come. J I love you so much and ask that you give me grace upon grace to hear you speak this morning. Anything and everything you want to tell me, Spirit….I am open to receive. I see me with him hand in hand. I want to marry you, Jesus. I don’t ever want to leave your side. That’s the beauty of eternity, my love. You and I will be together forever. One body, one people, one bride. Unity is in my heart. You are learning to love and practicing unity for that day, child. But, yes…on that day there will be no distractions. Nothing will separate us what so ever. You and I ...

Humility

Wow! It's been a while since I've stopped to blog. I've thought about it many times but finally stopped to actually do it. Life has been pretty busy the last month and I am so thankful that it is slowing down. Now, about my challenge...it really is becoming a more natural way of living. I am thankful that I catch myself guarding my words and weighing them before I speak. I know that Rome wasn't built in a day...and old habits are hard to break...but God's grace is poured out daily to see the transformation take place. I was actually thinking to myself just yesterday that it is getting easier to walk in Psalm 17:3's challenge. That was yesterday...then there is today. TODAY I was reading God's word and out of the blue I remembered a couple things that I said yesterday. I made a comment about someones outfit; nothing major rude or anything but why did I even say it out loud? Then later that same evening, I laughed at something that struck me as funny...at ...

If Your Eyes Are Bad....So Is Your Mouth

This morning I was praising God and thanking him for the advancement of His kingdom. What a day and hour in which we are living! God is moving all over the globe in demonstrations of power and might. I am amazed at the reports I hear from various ministries and individuals about what God is doing in our day. While pondering this, my heart was led to a friend of mine who tends to speak negatively about the church. Now, I will confess: there is a lot of stuff in church that is disorderly, rotten, and just plain discouraging. It's easy to see the problems and to feel like the church is perishing, especially if the environment one is in personally is NOT seeing the advancement of the Kingdom as desired. This view point usually leads people to talk about 'the remnant' in Christianity; how only a few will really stand in the last days. Is my friend and people in this camp not seeing what I see? Do they not see that His Spirit will be poured out on all flesh? Do they not see that ...

Planting Seeds of Life

Psalm 17:4 - it's one that caught my eye this morning. When you put it in context with my Psalm 17:3 challenge, it's really interesting. "I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. Concerning the works of men, by the word of Your lips, I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer." (Psalm 17:3b-4) How do I keep my mouth from not sinning? David says here it comes by the word of God's mouth - by having HIS word in my mouth I'm guaranteed NOT to transgress! Oh, isn't the Kingdom life one of great exchange? It's so marvelous! At the cross, we exchange unrighteousness for His righteousness, sorrow for joy, fear for peace. And here we see that we exchange our human words for divine words - natural, powerless conversation for supernatural, powerful conversation! In our everyday living in the kingdom, we have the opportunity to enter this great exchange. The temptation that comes our way is for us to look upon 'the works of men;' in ot...

Update

I am doing well on my challenge. It's amazing how when you present your weakness to God, he fills it with Himself. He loves my weakness...my weakness presented to Him. I am reminded of that even this week. Whey do we hide our weakness? We are ashamed of it, so we hide it or try to cover it up with our own efforts. But God does not run from our weakness...he waits for them to be given to him. Like a child who has broken something...I can go to Daddy and give it to him to fix and take care of. God loves everything about me. He even loves the weak parts of me as I yield to them. If I don't yield them, however, it just becomes stubborness! Oh, for a heart that will trust you, Father, always enough to give you even my weakness...even my MESS...and run to you! Thank you God, that you fill me up with YOU! This is grace!
